Is it good time to visit PEI to see some flower fields or is it too soon? Please let us know when is the good time to visit the gardens and flowers? Thanks in advance for your reply

Hello from PEI,
Thank you for reaching out to Ask an Islander. It is a little too early for flowers in PEI. If you are asking about our famous wildflower, the lupin; they tend to bloom from June to late July and this can vary depending on what part of the island you are visiting. You'll find these beauties lining the ditches and filling fields all across PEI.
Tulips are another favourite of visitors to PEI with more and more fields popping up every year. Belfast Tulips expects to be open in late May of this year.
Prince Edward Island also has many wonderful public gardens to stroll and enjoy. The best time to visit these would be late spring to late summer. Maybe you'll have to make two trips to PEI!
Take care,
Valerie
