We have a trip planned for the first week of June. Anything I should know? Will a majority of the restaurant be open? I hear mosquitoes are bad in PEI lol ? should I bring mosquitoes repellent stuff? Just looking for tips…. Thanks. ☺️
Hello Robert,
To answer your question, June is a beautiful time to come to PEI. We have great walking/biking trails, musical events, some shops, experiences and more. Feel free to browse our website under "Festivals and Events" to find out what will be happening on PEI on the days you are visiting. "The Buzz PEI" website is also a great tool to find local music and entertainment across the Island. Some restaurants are seasonal but most are open in June. Lobster season will be in full swing then so if you are a lover you will find fresh lobster abound.
As for mosquitos they particularly like to be active during the evening hours and when it is humid outside. June is usually a good month to avoid them. Maybe bring some bug repellant just in case.
Enjoy your stay!

Asked: I will be visiting Souris in early July 2024. I would love to take in a traditional lobster boil ( if that’s the correct wording , with the potatoes and corn and sea food ). Is there a local area known for offering this?
