My fiancé and I are planning on eloping to PEI in June 2024 to officially tie the knot after being together for 10 years. We are looking for an officiant who has a romantic, light, and non-religious style. Any recommendations?

Firstly, congratulations! Your wedding day is one of those days you want to be perfect and having your special day on Prince Edward Island certainly will make it extra special!

There are several marriage commissioners in PEI. Marsha Weeks has a company called Elope the Island. Marsha is a licensed wedding commissioner here on the Island. I have been at weddings with the following officiants, Shawna Richards, Bertha Ellis, Kirk MacKinnon, Kevin Gotell and Terry Nabuurs.

Shawna Richards was amazing, a heart of gold, wonderful personality and made both events I attended about the couple. 

Kirk MacKinnon has a great presence about himself, a former radio host, well known Islander, he was light, funny and engaging.

Certainly, anyone on the list of wedding commissioners will be willing to speak with you and assist in your eloping plans!

June is a wonderful time to be exchanging vows, lots of wonderful places to pick as your wedding spot!
