Hello Genevieve,

I am so happy to hear that you're planning on visiting the Island.

I did a bit of research on places that are dog-friendly and have a few links to send you that should help you plan your trip. For PEI provincial park beaches, you can take your dogs on the beach as long as they are on a leash no longer than 6 feet. Here is a link to their policies: Provincial Parks. (Just scroll down to the section on "Dogs"). To find out the rules and restrictions for the PEI National Park, click on the link here

I am also including a link to a list of  Pet Friendly Stores put out by the PEI Humane Society, a link to Dog Friendly Restaurants in PEI , and finally a link to Travelling with your Pet on our Tourism PEI website.

With regards to accommodations that allow pets, here's a link to the accommodations section of the Tourism PEI website. When you input your criteria to do your search, click on "advanced search" and check "Pets permitted". That should bring up only the accommodations that accept pets.

I hope this has been of some help and that you enjoy your time on our beautiful island.
