Can you collect mussels on cavendish beach? Do you need a license?

Hi Jeannine,
Cavendish Beach is part of the Prince Edward Island National Park and taking anything from the beach is strongly discouraged to preserve and protect its natural resources.
You do not need a license to pick wild mussels in PEI but there are daily limits and rules that you need to follow. You'll want to check for any closures in the area also.
Have a look at the Department of Fisheries and Oceans website before you head out.
I hope this helps!
