Hi PEI Islander. We are coming to PEI in September 2025 for six days and staying in Charlottetown. I would love to hear any local insights on what to do and must-sees/have.
Good afternoon;
Thank you for reaching out to Ask an Islander about what to do during your stay in Charlottetown. As I'm not sure of your dates for September, here are some options that I hope work for you.
- The PEI International Shellfish Festival is Sept 18 to 21 and is billed as Atlantic Canada's Largest Kitchen Party. Lots of music and shellfish to enjoy.
- The Ceilidh in the City is hosted every Wednesday with special musical guests each week.
- The Moonlight Bazaar is a street festival on September 27 with music, food and live performances on Victoria Row.
- Visit the Downtown Farmers' Market on Sunday at Confederation Landing Park (10 AM to 3 PM).
- I also recommend seeing Anne & Gilbert, the Musical at the Florence Simmons Performance Hall.
A walking tour is always a great idea for an historical perspective on our capital city. Here are a few...
- Emerald Isle Carriage Tours
- Heritage Players and Historic Walking Tours
- Secrets of Charlottetown Walking Tours
You can also check out our schedules for other ceilidhs and live music listings (updated to end of August so please call in advance or check local listings). Be sure to stop by our Visitor Information Centre at Founder's Hall to chat with a staff member about these events and others, not yet listed.
Enjoy your stay in Charlottetown. Thank you for choosing to visit Prince Edward Island.
