Hi Rukhshana,

Thank you for contacting Ask An Islander.

Two local used booked stores are in downtown Charlottetown on Queen Street. Please see below for their information:

Charlottetown Bookmark:  We are a locally owned, independent bookstore with a passion for books and reading. Since 1972 in Charlottetown, 1989 in Halifax and 2023 in Fredericton, the Bookmark people have promoted the benefits of the written word, the beauty the book as physical object, and the value of sharing stories and ideas. We see independence as a virtue and are doing our part to keep our communities interesting.

The Bookman: The Bookman has been in business as a new, used and rare bookstore, in some incarnation since the early 1970's. It began life in a three room house on Euston St. beside Taylor's Esso where the Canfield building stands today. It was P.E.I 's first used book store and one of The Islands first two bookstores.

Lastly, all of our local thrift shops carry used books. Some suggestions are Bibles For Missions, Value Village, and Second Time Around.

Have a great day,

Jonah
