Hello, We will be in PEI in June and can't wait. We want to cross the Confederation Bridge to New Brunswick and back just for the fun of it. We have the 45 minute Straight Pass. Any tips? Thanks.

I love the idea of travelling across the Confederation Bridge.

If you check out the Confederation Bridge website, there is a self-serve shuttle link. If you can make it across and back in their time limit, you pay only the shuttle fee. I remind people to read the rules of the pass and to make sure to locate the drop-off spot for the shuttle pass. Nothing worse than missing the 40 minutes drop-off, because you cannot locate the scanner or get distracted by the view!

The time allowed from PEI to NB including return trip back to PEI (to the Bridge Operations Building, 104 Abegweit Blvd) is 40 minutes.

I recommend stopping in and seeing us at the Borden Visitor Information Centre. We can give you directions to the best spot for a picture of you and the Confederation Bridge.
