What are the must see for picturesque views?
Hello Judy,
Thank you for your question. I might be a little bit biased, but I think every view is a must see! One of my favourites though, might be from the lookout in French River. There is a nice area where you can safely pull over and get out of your car, you're perched up high on a hill looking down over the little fishing village. The colours are amazing.
Oceanview Lookout in Prince Edward Island National Park, near Cavendish, offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Gulf of St. Lawrence and the rugged coastline, especially the vibrant red sandstone cliffs. It's a great spot for photos, and enjoying the sunsets.
I recently visited the Cap Egmont Lighthouse and I still can't believe the view from this location! You cannot go inside this lighthouse, but the red cliffs, and the waters of the Northumberland Strait do not disappoint. On a clear day you can see the beautiful Notre Dame du Mont Carmel church in the distance.
Prince Edward Island has lookouts stretched across the province from tip to tip. To see all of those locations, visit the Tourism PEI website here.
Enjoy!
Valerie
