What is the best way to access the Hillsborough River Bridge from the downtown area by bicycle in June during the construction on Grafton St?

Thank you for your inquiry to Ask an Islander. The best way is to get to the Hillsborough River Bridge is as follows:

• Start at Joe Ghiz Park in Charlottetown.
• Walk your bike on the sidewalk for about 200 m following the 6”x6” Trans Canada Trail signs to the lights.
• Go through the lights and onto the bridge.  As of May 31st. there are three areas where the surface is rough with gravel, the rest is very good.  These areas may be fixed by mid-June.
