What public PEI beaches would be best to look for sea glass?

Hello Allan,

Thank you for reaching out to Ask an Islander. I find that the best beaches for seaglass are along the Northumberland Strait side of the Island. Souris Beach is a pretty popular spot for this sport. If you go to Souris, be sure to visit the Souris Lighthouse. They have one floor dedicated to the history of seaglass.

Tea Hill/Keppoch Beach and Pinette are also good places to try your luck.

Have fun!

Asked: I will be visiting Souris in early July 2024. I would love to take in a traditional lobster boil ( if that’s the correct wording , with the potatoes and corn and sea food ). Is there a local area known for offering this?
