What restaurant would you recommend for Summer side and Charlottetown?

Answer by:

Hello Hobart,

Thank you for your question to Ask An Islander.

I have lots of wonderful recommendations for you!

In Summerside, Breakwater Bar and Grill, Brother's Two Restaurant, The Sunset Room and Five Eleven West. Holman's Ice Cream is a local must do!

Charlottetown, Red Shores Charlottetown, Brakish!, Claddagh Oyster House, Lobster on the Wharf, Merchantman, Olde Dublin Pub, Sea Rocket and The Cork & Cast.

In Summerside I would recommend wandering the boardwalk and stopping at Breakwater Bar and Grill, then check out the Wyatt House Museum and visit Holman's Ice Cream. For supper in the evening check out Five Eleven West or the Sunset Room.

In Charlottetown, this is a foodie spot, I love breakfast or brunch at Leonhard's Cafe or Receivers Coffee Shop, at the Brass Shop down by Founder's Hall. Lunch can be as simple as Water Prince Corner Shop and a bowl of chowder or sitting at Brakish! and enjoying mussels! I love an afternoon or early evening on Victoria Row. Listening to the live music and enjoying the benefits of all the restaurant patios.

Enjoy your visit!

Asked: I will be visiting Souris in early July 2024. I would love to take in a traditional lobster boil ( if that’s the correct wording , with the potatoes and corn and sea food ). Is there a local area known for offering this?
