What would be the best time, between the months of June and October, to paint sceneries of the Island where my grandma was born (Watercolors and oils) ?

Thank you for your question to Ask an Islander. We are happy to hear that you are planning a visit to the Island.

Although the months of July, August, and September are gorgeous, the scenery in both June and October are my personal favourites. In June, the Island landscape is transformed with the arrival of the colorful lupins. I have a few paintings at home of the beautiful lupin fields. October offers a different kind of beauty, as the Island comes alive with rich and stunning fall colours.

Both months are absolutely beautiful, but if I had to choose, the lupins in mid-June will always have my heart.
