Hello Silvia,

Clam digging soft shell clams and bar clams is a fun and popular activity on the red sand beaches of Prince Edward Island. Wild mussels are more elusive or challenging to find as they are usually found under rocks.

For complete information on rules, sizes, catch limits, seasons or closures, please review the "What do I need to know before harvesting shellfish" section on the Department of Fisheries and Oceans website.

Hope you enjoy the clam digging experience!

Regards,

Kevin
