When are fresh lobster available ?

Thank you for your question to Ask an Islander.

On Prince Edward Island, the spring lobster fishing season begins in early May and runs until late June so delicious, fresh, locally caught lobster is available during this time as well as second lobster fishing season from mid-August to mid-October.

Also, salt water storage allows live lobster to be available in local markets and restaurants year round.
