When travelling by ferry to isle de la Madeline, is is necessary to stay overnight? Does the ferry only leave from Souris at 2:00pm? Are there no morning ferries?

Hello Leann,

Thank you for contacting Ask an Islander. To visit les Iles de la Madeleine, Quebec it would be necessary to stay overnight. It is an approximate 5-hour sail from the port of Souris and there is usually only one departure per day which leaves at 2:00 p.m. in the high season.

There are sometimes extra crossings during high-volume traffic times but they are not scheduled yet for the 2024 season and they leave Souris at 2:00 a.m.

I hope this helps, for more information please visit CTMA Traversier

Regards,

Valerie
