Where are the most affordable accommodations for a month in PEI?

Hi Sharon,

Thank you for your inquiry to Ask an Islander. The most affordable accommodations during the summer months would be camping at a provincial park or in the PEI National Park. Alternatively, you could rent a camp cabin - see KW Green Park, New Glasgow Highlands and others. Prince Edward Island also has a small number of tourist homes with 3-star ratings that offer affordable accommodations.

Given your planned length of stay, I would suggest contacting preferred accommodation operators as soon as possible to book. Having said that, reservations for provincial campgrounds will open in mid April.

You can always stay in touch by signing up for the Tourism PEI newsletter which includes details on upcoming festivals and events and recipes too! I invite you to order or download our 2023 visitor's guide when it becomes available in the new year.

We hope to see you in 2023!
