Where is the absolute best ceilidh to attend?

Hi Mikey!

Thank you for reaching out to Ask an Islander. My favourite ceilidh is Back Home Tonight which happens every Monday evening until September 16th at the Stanley Bridge Hall (pictured below). This show has skilled multi-instrumentalists that perform great singalong songs, toe tapping fiddle tunes and poignant traditional airs. On top of all that, they are great entertainers that engage the audience and are always up for fun. You'll find it listed among many others at Ceilidhs, Kitchen Parties & Outdoor Live Music Summer 2024.

Each ceilidh offers a unique experience. If you enjoy dancing, the ceilidh on Fridays at 7:30 PM in St. Peters at Rte 313 is the place to be. Here, you'll have the chance to learn the Souris Set, a square dance unique to PEI.

I invite you to download or order our 2024 visitor’s guide. You can always stay in touch by signing up for the Tourism PEI newsletter which includes details on upcoming festivals and events and recipes too!

Have a wonderful summer vacation!

Asked: I will be visiting Souris in early July 2024. I would love to take in a traditional lobster boil ( if that’s the correct wording , with the potatoes and corn and sea food ). Is there a local area known for offering this?
