Where is the best place to dig clams in cavendish?

Hi Sherry,

Thank you for reaching out! The best places for clam-digging on PEI are generally on the south side of the Island, I don't know of any hot spots in the Cavendish area. Some places better known for clam digging are Maximeville, Pinette, Victoria (Victoria-by-the-Sea) and Tea Hill. Further east, Beach Point is another popular clam digging spot.

Remember when you’re harvesting clams that you cannot take more than 100 clams in total of all species, and the size can’t be smaller than 50 mm. You can find all that you need to know before heading out on the Department of Fisheries and Oceans website.

Happy digging!
