Hi Carol,

With over 3000 km of coastline on Prince Edward Island, we like to say that no matter where you are, you're never more than a 15 minute drive to a beach.

Some of the most impressive might be the beaches of the Prince Edward Island National Park only about a 20 minute drive from Charlottetown. The stunning white sand beaches of the PEI National Park against the red cliffs are a sight to behold.

Just outside of Charlottetown in the Canoe Cove area along the Red Sand Shore is Canoe Cove Beach located at the Lloyd Inman Memorial Park, which is operated and maintained by the community. Located along the Northumberland Strait, this beach is most spectacular at low tide. Play in tidal pools, relax in your beach chair or walk on the soft red sand.

Tea Hill Beach is another nice red sand beach, located just outside of Charlottetown in the town of Stratford.

Enjoy!

Valerie
