best pub in PEI and a great place to get a lobster!! Visiting in Aug from Prince George BC.. Cheers

Hey Kim!
Thank you for reaching out to Ask an Islander. August is a great time to be coming by - everything on the Island is in full swing at that point!
One of my favorite pubs is Churchill Arms in downtown Charlottetown - a very classic English-style pub with a certain island flair. Wouldn’t hurt to swing by the Gahan House up the street either - they make all of their beer in-house and their brown bag fish and chips is a staple around here.
For lobster, you have so many options from so many places. In Charlottetown, you have Water Prince Corner Shop, Sims Steakhouse and Merchantman as the popular spots. However, I highly recommend venturing outside the city to an Island institution - New Glasgow Lobster Suppers. It’s a whole experience. Definitely call ahead and make a reservation - it’s worth it!
Hope this helps!
Thanks for choosing Prince Edward Island as your vacation destination.

Asked: I will be visiting Souris in early July 2024. I would love to take in a traditional lobster boil ( if that’s the correct wording , with the potatoes and corn and sea food ). Is there a local area known for offering this?
