Best things to do with young kids on the island (beyond beaches and all the Anne stuff!)

Hi Anne,
Thank you for contacting Ask An Islander.
Points East Coastal Drive boasts 50 beautiful beaches, gorgeous coastal driving, and six of the eight lighthouses that you can visit on Prince Edward Island. Each lighthouse has a unique history, offers fun for the whole family, and is exciting to climb and explore with children! From the Cape Bear Lighthouse that received the first Canadian distress signal from The Titanic to The Wood Islands Lighthouse and Museum that offers exploration of the imagination while watching leaping flames in the ghost ship loft!
Kings Castle Provincial Park is a magical place with a family of favourite storybook characters in statue form, who love to have their pictures taken and play hide and seek. This day-use park is a perfect family location with open green space and a waterfront beach along Murray River. Park amenities include a large playground with an accessible swing and picnic tables, change rooms, a two-sided kitchen shelter and a snack bar. Pets are permitted while on a leash.
