Can I get a list of Island restaurants that focus on vegan dishes?Thank youJohn Kinkead

Thank you for your question to Ask an Islander.

There are several vegan restaurants on the Island. Gaia's Urban Eatery, Splendid Essence, Farmacy & Fermentary, Harvest Clean Eats and any of the Thai or Indian restaurants have wonderful vegan dishes and focus on their vegan menu. 

Island Chef at the Pier in the Cavendish area is highly recommend, as well as Gaia's Urban Eatery in Charlottetown. At Gaia's, the pulled BBQ mushroom burger is delicious, as well as the Cajan Jambalaya, but don't forget the tiramisu! 

My vegan and vegetarian friends love coming to the Island because most restaurants have a solid vegan/veg friendly menu. As they tell me, "It's nice to get served something other then salad."
