Hi! Are there any parks with public grills (BBQs) on the island? Preferably in the Cavendish area.

Hi Lily,
Thank you for reaching out to Ask an Islander. Most of the campgrounds in Prince Edward Island have fire pits at each campsite and are enjoyed by campers when there isn't a fire ban in effect.
The Bonshaw Hills Provincial Park has picnic areas and bbqs (bring your own charcoal).
Most of the other day parks have some sort of kitchen shelter or picnic area but you would have to bring your own barbeque. Always keep safety in mind and check the fire index before cooking outdoors.
I invite you to download or order our 2024 visitor’s guide. You can always stay in touch by signing up for the Tourism PEI newsletter which includes details on upcoming festivals and events and recipes too!
Enjoy!
Valerie
