I am looking for information on trout fishing in and around Brudenell provincial park.
Hello Scott,
Thank you for your question to Ask an Islander.
I grew up in the area and fishing with my grandfather was and always will be a favourite memory. I like to use the Angling Resource and Information Centre for current information. We have tried fishing along the Brudenell River. Heading closer to Georgetown harbour tend to be a bit more successful. Off the area of Roma at Three Rivers was always a good spot, but I shouldn't tell you that, because great fisher's should not share their favourite places. Right? I know friends who fly fish around the Brudenell Provincial Park beach area, walking further up the beach away from the swimmers and kayaks. This is all saltwater, so not a lot of brook trout, mainly mackerel and striped bass. There are some great fresh water streams and lakes in the area. Brook, rainbow trout, and Atlantic salmon can be caught in these streams.
Happy fishing,
Erin Davis
