I am planning a small group to walk a portion of the island what portion would you recommend for 2 weeks?

Good morning Patti from Prince Edward Island,
Thanks for your question about hiking the Island Walk. I would suggest that you focus on the eastern part of the Island if you only have two weeks. This part is mostly on the Confederation Trail, with some secondary roads and beaches thrown in for variety.
Check out the link to the map that I like to use.
You could start in Mt. Stewart (WP19 on the map) and continue on to WP20, 21 and then all the way to Charlottetown (WP32). The distances for each section are highlighted on the map (just touch the balloons). There is also a GPS button (upper left corner) that will allow you to track where you are at any point along the route.
This is truly a beautiful section of the Walk. You will walk along St. Peter's Bay, a lovely wooded section to Elmira, an optional beach walk to East Point, a stunning beach at Basin Head and so much more. You may want to read details on what you'll see by ordering the guidebook. You can find where to get the book at TheIslandWalk.ca/faq/
The staff of the Island Walk can help you find accommodations and sort out transportation options. Contact them by email at [email protected].
Stay in touch by signing up for the Tourism PEI newsletter which includes details on upcoming festivals and events and recipes too!
Thanks for your questions and have fun planning your Island Walk!
