Is there a beach where dogs are allowed?

Good morning Denise:

Thank you for reaching out to Ask an Islander about dogs on the beach. Provincial beaches and most public beaches do allow dogs on leash. When exploring the PEI National Park, you may take your dog into picnic areas, camping areas and along trails. However, pets are not permitted on the beach in the National Park from April 1 to October 15. The PEI National Park now includes a large parcel of land around French River, including the beach at the end of Cape Road.

One of the most dog-friendly beaches and restaurants is Fin Folk Food in Tracadie.

Please check out Travelling with Your Pet for more information. I hope you and your pup have a fabulous vacation.
