Good morning Yuni:

Thank you for contacting Ask an Islander. To reach Newfoundland by ferry, you must travel to Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. You can sail to Caribou, Nova Scotia from Wood Islands, Prince Edward Island aboard Northumberland Ferries. From the departure terminal, the drive is 263 km to North Sydney for a ferry to Port-Aux-Basques or Argentia, NL.

I invite you to download or order our 2024 visitor’s guide. You can always stay in touch by signing up for the Tourism PEI newsletter which includes details on upcoming festivals and events and recipes too!

I hope this proves helpful. Have a wonderful summer vacation!
