Is there a nice beach for walking near Victoria by the Sea?
Hi Michele,
Thank you for contacting Ask An Islander.
There is a beautiful red sand beach located right in Victoria By the Sea. Spend the day splashing in the warm surf and then go for a delicious dinner at one of the towns incredible restaurants.
Here are a few other suggestions as well:
Canoe Cove Beach: The beach in Canoe Cove is located at the Lloyd Inman Memorial Park, which is operated and maintained by the community. Located along the Northumberland Strait, this beach is most spectacular at low tide. Play in tidal pools, relax in your beach chair or walk on the soft red sand. You might even see seals at play. Be sure to check the tide schedule before arriving.
Chelton Beach Provincial Park: At Chelton Beach Provincial Park, enjoy the green space and miles of sandy beaches. Like most beaches along the south shore of PEI you will discover the sand is red and the waters are warmer. This park is best known for views of the Confederation Bridge and beachcombing at low tide.
Argyle Shore Provincial Park: Enjoy the park’s large green space and beach with wide-open views of the Northumberland Strait. This area is a popular spot for watching hermit crabs and digging clams at low tide. A long staircase leads to the beach.
Enjoy your time exploring the beautiful beaches around Victoria-By-the-Sea!
Have a great day,
Jonah
