Is there a place we can go to try crabbing and then learn to cook it?

Hello Karen,
Thank you for reaching out to Ask an Islander. You cannot harvest crabs without a commercial license in PEI, and the snow crab season is a very short season and happens in the early spring so there aren't any operators who offer this kind of experience.
There are many other fishing experiences though! You can book a deep-sea fishing excursion or a clam digging experience! MacNeill's Tuna and Deep-Sea Fishing Charters located in North Lake Harbour offers many different options for a fun day at sea up until October 9th.
For clam digging or oysters check out the Beachcombers Clam Boil experiences. So fun!
The Lobster Lovers tour is a lot of fun as well. You will set sail from Souris Harbour, pull your own lobster from a trap and enjoy a lobster dinner on board. You'll have to book soon as there aren't many dates left in this one!
Have a great time,
Valerie
