Travelling to pei on vacation after Labour Day. What events or activities (music) is happening in early Sept. I have a motorhome is there a recommend provincial park with a great sunset beach

Hi Dennis,
Happy to hear you’re coming over to the Island in September - probably my favourite month over here - things are a little slower paced, most restaurants and experiences are still open, weather is still great and the water is still warm!
Right after Labour Day there are not usually too many “big” events or festivals that take place - there’s a bit of a reset that happens when August ends, families get back into the school routine locally.
That being said - there are always dozens upon dozens of smaller one-off events that happen in early September and then, after a couple of weeks, some major events start happening again.
One of my favourite places to check for those events is our local monthly art and culture magazine, The Buzz - their print copy is great and their website is just as great - I’d highly recommend checking out https://buzzpei.com/events/ - you can see every day listed to really plan out what you’re going to take in. If you’re able to wait, the PEI Shellfish Festival is a great time and starts on September 14th!
For campgrounds - I could take the easy route and say that any provincial campground will give you an incredible sunset - but a few of my favourites across the Island would be Red Point Provincial Park on the eastern end of the Island, Stanhope campground (which is actually a national park but still worth it) on the central north shore and Cabot Beach which is a bit further west. Highly recommend booking in advance and making sure there are spaces available! Most provincial campgrounds are open until the end of September.
