Are there any Bed and Breakfasts in or near Charlottetown that are able to accommodate for gluten-free/celiac diets?

Answer by:

Hello Regan,

Thank you for your question to Ask an Islander.

I have a few suggestions for Bed & Breakfasts in Charlottetown. Understanding your need for gluten-free/celiac needs, I would recommend mentioning your requirements at the time of booking, so the accommodation will be able to provide you with this. You will also find many Island restaurants are well-versed on the dietary requirements and allergies.

Dawson House is a charming Bed & Breakfast and I am sure a call or email to the owner and they would be able to let you know if they can accommodate your request.

Duchess of Kent Inn is also a lovely spot.

The Sonata Inn is also a great spot.

I would just recommend letting them know at the time of booking so they can be aware. They may wish to bring in locally made gluten-free items from one of our local bakeries.

Happy vacation planning,

Erin Davis
