I am looking for girls trip ideas with my college friends of 30 years. There are 7 of us. We love crafts and food and a little adventure. What do you recommend for a week-long stay?
Hi Sallie,
Thank you for contacting us.
That would all depend on what time of year you plan to visit. If you are planning a trip for our summer months, there is a lot to see as far as crafts, heritage and adventures. We have beautiful National and Provincial Parks with lovely beaches and trails. Several Historic Lighthouses and different sea sport activities that would be great for a day of adventure.
As far as arts and crafts, we have a wonderful Arts and Heritage Trail that covers all the artists and craftsmen across the entire Island. I definitely recommend giving that a look as you will be able to find artists related to your interests more easily.
We also have a plethora of restaurants and culinary experiences available, especially during our summer months. I would recommend taking a look at the Culinary section of our website to further explore the many options available. If you are coming in during the summer months and are looking for a great seafood experience I would recommend the Fisherman Wharf Lobster suppers, New Glasgow Lobster suppers and for something a little more interactive and adventurous, the Fiddling Fisherman's Lobster Lovers Tour.
Hope this helps, please let us know if there is anything else we can help you with.
Regards,
Blaire Guptill
