Are there any beaches/areas that we can let our dog go off leash other than the dog park in charlottetown? Or dog LOVES to swim with the kids and canoe with us.

Hi Tamara,

Thank you for contacting Tourism Prince Edward Island.

Most beaches on PEI do have a leash requirement, however, I would recommend visiting Kinlock Beach near Tea Hill. As long as you have the privacy to do so, you can let your furry friend run around and swim as much as he likes.

If you visit one of our provincial parks or other public beaches your dog would need to be kept on a leash, but they can still have all the fun they want.

I hope you have loads of fun with your furry friend.
