We will be on the island for Thanksgiving weekend. Just wondering if many restaurants will be open on Thanksgiving Monday? Thank you :)

Thank you for your question to Ask an Islander.

There will be many restaurants open on Thanksgiving Monday. Many will require reservations due to the volume of people who love eating out on Thanksgiving. You will also find many places do an absolutely delicious turkey dinner take-out, so you can take it home or to your accommodation and enjoy an amazing meal in comfort.

The Turkey Tavern is already advertising for Thanksgiving!  Also in the Cavendish area check out Chez Yvonne is a local restaurant which is usually full on turkey dinner days!

In Charlottetown, PEI Pad Thai, if you find them open, they make delicious turkey dinner spring rolls. You can thank me later for this suggestion!!  I know, not a turkey dinner, but a turkey treat!

Last year the Lone Oak Fox Meadows did a turkey dinner starting October 1st. To call it wonderful would be an understatement! I went back for seconds, on another day, once I slept the first dinner off!!!

The Olde Triangle, Charlottetown does an amazing turkey dinner. As I am typing this I am thinking I need to put my order in now. It is that delicious. We don't make our Thanksgiving dinner at home any more, we order it at a restaurant and we plate it and enjoy our dinner without stress. I maybe should not have been the one answering this question because I am now wanting a turkey dinner!!! Okay, maybe two. If I don't do the Olde Triangle, I am ordering from Papa Joe's.

Phinley's and Hunter's family of restaurants, also Budley's at the airport, do a great turkey dinner.

4S Catering make a great basic turkey dinner. They also usually do a community turkey dinner and feel welcome to attend. They are great community people, great community charity work and feeding and taking care of the people in the area.

Fin is known for their fish and chips and lobster rolls, but last Thanksgiving they came out with a lovely turkey dinner.

Baba's Kitchen, I will say this. Always sells out. Starlite Diner is a fun diner. Brother's 2 put on the wobble till you gobble turkey dinner.

If you are looking for a full family dinner, last year the Confederation Centre of the Arts and Water's Edge at the Delta did a whole turkey dinner for take out. This is to feed a whole family! I expect to see this event hosted again.

Goodness, I have not even mentioned the turkey poutine, hot turkey dinners, Thanksgiving wraps and turkey soup!!!

Now I feel like I am going to wobble till I gobble!! I am off to order a turkey dinner!
