What are the hotel/motel/cottage and the like vacancy rates like for this July. Do I need to make reservations in advance, or is there good availability and I should be able to find places to stay on a given day during the period of July 17 - 31, 2025

Hello Peter,

Thank you for reaching out to Ask an Islander. I am happy to hear that you're planning a visit. To answer your question, you definitely should book in advance as July and August are very busy here on the Island.

Visit Where to Stay to begin your search for accommodations. You can choose the region where you'd like to stay, the type of accommodation and the month of your arrival. You can also narrow your search by using the 'advanced search' option and choosing the amenities that are important to you. Doing so will populate a list for you. Most properties have a 'book now' button that will take you to their booking site.

Kindly,

Valerie
