Hello Theresa,

Thank you for reaching out to Ask an Islander. September is a great time to visit PEI!

The weather in early September is similar to summer, with the mornings and evenings tending to be cooler. Daily highs can average around 20 degrees and daily low temperatures average around 10 degrees.

I suggest packing a light jacket for windy or rainy days. I would also recommend checking the weekly forecast as your travel dates approach, as it can change relatively fast throughout the week. So bring your swimsuit and shorts, but also a cozy jacket, long pants and a sweater to be ready for anything that comes your way!

See you soon!

Valerie
