What is the best seafood restaurant in Charlottetown?

Answer by:

Good afternoon from Prince Edward Island,

Thank you for your inquiry to Ask an Islander. It's quite a nice idea to enjoy dining outside and take in the spectacular views we have here in the capital city. The Cork & Cast is located in Charlottetown's new floating food court at the Charlottetown Marina. It's a unique way to enjoy delicious seafood right on the water and be in the centre of the action.

Now, I would say it is an absolute must to have a lobster roll (or 3) while you are visiting! One of my favourite spots is Dave's Lobster (pictured below). The menu is simple and each offering is thoughtful and deliberate. If you are dining with someone else, my recommendation is to order one local's roll and one some fancy. This will give you a great range of experience when it comes to the flavour profiles that a lobster can have when hot or chilled.

Another location worth checking out is Churchill Arms. This wee spot has both fantastic fish and chips as well as some crave-worthy British curries. On Wednesdays, they have a 2-for-1 night for curries. Fran, the owner, is super passionate about the offerings available at this beloved local restaurant - their British style fish and chips is no exception.

Enjoy your time in Charlottetown!
