What is there to do on a cold and rainy day?

Hi Conan,
Thank you for reaching out. Although rain may be in the forecast, there is still plenty to do on PEI.
We have 63 lighthouses found throughout PEI. There are eight that are open seasonally to the public: West Point, East Point, Point Prim, Wood Islands, Souris, Cape Bear, Panmure Island and Victoria Seaport. Many of these lighthouses listed you can go right to the top, giving a spectacular view of the coastline.
Not too far from Cavendish, in New Glasgow, you will find the Toy Factory, which makes old-fashioned wooden toys. There is also the Butterfly House and the Gardens of Hope along with the Island Preserve Company, where you could grab a bite to eat.
You could easily spend some time at the cutest place on earth, The Island Hill Farm, which is open rain or shine. They have a wide variety of different farm animals, along with a cafe and gift shop.
In Charlottetown, there are also various activities on rainy days for families such as Murphy's Bowling Centre (The Alley), Bell Aliant Centre Pool Complex, and Off the Wallz indoor trampoline park. There is also a free noon-time show at the Confederation Centre called the Munschables, based on the books by Robert Munsch. This show is indoors on rainy days, and kids love it! You can also make a stop at Cow's Creamery for not only their delicious island made ice-cream but take a self-guided walk through the creamery and watch them making all the ice cream and T-shirts.
Another couple of great stops would be the Bottle Houses in Cap-Egmont, Canadian Potato Museum & Antique Farm Machinery Museum in O'Leary, Orwell Corner Historic Village in Orwell, and Elmira Railway Museum in Elmira.
I hope this helps!
Valerie
