Where do I get the best price for lobster?

Thank you for contacting Ask an Islander about lobster prices. It is unclear to me if you wish to purchase lobster while visiting or want to have it shipped.

The Lobster PEI website includes a list of retailers. The place for the best price on lobster is on the wharf. Most fishers will sell live lobsters directly from their boat if you are onsite when boats return from pulling traps in late morning or early afternoon. 

There are two lobster seasons on PEI. The spring season on the north shore runs from May to June with about ninety per cent of the harvest, while the fall season to the south runs from mid-August to mid-October.
