Where to eat the Best oyster Rockefeller?

Hi Don,
Thank you for your inquiry to Ask an Islander. Baked oysters are one of my favourite ways to enjoy our PEI oysters and there are a few spots that have really great baked oysters.
First and foremost, the Claddagn Oyster House in Charlottetown is newly renovated. Enjoying their oysters Rockefeller in the modern, elegant space sounds like a no brainer to me!
Sea Rocket, in Charlottetown, is one of the newer restaurants on the block and has a heavy focus on seafood and shellfish. They are located in the heart of historic downtown Charlottetown. On their menu, they have oysters baked 3 ways - Rockefeller, Miso Aioli and Champagne cream. Actually, my favourite of the three is the champagne cream; this might be a great opportunity to try some variations on the classic Rockefeller.
Sims Steakhouse & Oyster Bar has a great oyster program and certainly pulls out all the stops for an incredible oyster degustation including caviar addons.
I invite you to download or order our 2024 visitor’s guide. You can always stay in touch by signing up for the Tourism PEI newsletter which includes details on upcoming festivals and events and recipes too!
Have a wonderful summer vacation! Enjoy our Island oysters and your time exploring PEI!

Asked: I will be visiting Souris in early July 2024. I would love to take in a traditional lobster boil ( if that’s the correct wording , with the potatoes and corn and sea food ). Is there a local area known for offering this?
