I'm coming to PEI July 12-16 with 10 of my motorcycling friends. Where would be a good location to ride from to see most of the Island?

Hello Terry,

Thank you for your great question and I am happy to hear you and your friends are coming to the Island. Visiting PEI on a motorcycle is the most amazing way to view the beautiful scenery on our island. It also allows you to smell the lovely sea air, something missed if you are travelling in a vehicle. You will experience a few organic smells as well, not so nice, but it is all a part of the ride when touring PEI.

Upon arrival, I would highly suggest picking up a PEI road map at one of our visitor information centres as it will be extremely helpful to you on your trip! The map itself is colour coordinated in sections, and our coastal drive is mapped out boldly as well. To do a combination of all three coastal drives, the distance is nearly 1,100 kilometres so we suggest a day in each of those regions. You will see unforgettable views, quaint fishing villages and charming small towns. You will find Island artisans, unique lighthouses, beaches with red or white sand, museums for all interests, historical sites and delicious cuisine.

You picked the perfect province to tour via motorcycle. Island roads are loved by motorcyclists; no super highways to navigate or off-ramps to worry about missing. You will be awestruck with the beauty PEI provides from the seat of a motorcycle!

Enjoy riding around Prince Edward Island.
