Hello Dana,

Thank you for your question to Ask an Islander.

Prince Edward Island's 8 provincial campground parks open for the season on June 6. Provincial beaches and most public beaches will allow dogs on leash. At the PEI National Park, dogs are not permitted on the beach from April 1-October 15 however you may take dogs to picnic, camping and trail areas within the park.

The Tourism PEI website is an excellent resource to planning a vacation and includes a tab on travelling with your pet

Regards,

Kevin Barbour
