What is the best place for whale watching in PEI?

General Island

Hi Vivek,

Thank you for reaching out! Prince Edward Island is home to the Minke whale, the Pilot whale, and the Atlantic white-sided dolphin. They are rare to see but the best chance is out on the water in a boat as they like to hang out in deep waters. Sometimes if you're lucky, you can see them from the shore, but this is pretty rare.

There are some deep sea fishing tours you can go out on for a chance to see whales. I will list a few below!

These three leave from North Lake Harbour in the Points East Coastal Drive region.

Bruce’s Tuna Charters

Ernie’s Charter Fishing

MacNeill's Tuna and Deep-Sea Fishing Charters

Enjoy!
