This year the lobster fishing season on Prince Edward Island has two distinct periods. The spring season from early May to the end of June is now closed. The fall season will open soon from mid-August to mid-October. The exact start dates vary slightly depending on weather and fishing conditions. However, PEI fresh lobster is available for purchase all year! Lobster fishers catch enough during the spring season to last through the summer and into the fall season. Live lobster is stored in state-of-the-art saltwater tanks during the off-season.
