Are dogs allowed on any beaches in P.E.I.?

Hello Mary Ann,

Thank you for your question to Ask an Islander!

I'm glad you are interested in our beautiful province and our scenic beaches! Dogs are certainly allowed on beaches, except for the three beaches that are a part of the National Park system: Greenwich, Stanhope, and Cavendish. All other beaches in the province permit dogs to venture on them!

Cabot Beach is one of my favourites, and you can take dogs there! The white sand and the large cliffs are beautiful.

Kind regards,

Bret MacCaull
