Hey! Family from Lawrencetown, NS here for the first time! We own a cafe and are very much foodies! Love everything GOOD local eats. Send us to some good local eats pls!

Good morning;
Thank you for contacting Ask an Islander about good local eats. I am going to share with you a number of restaurants recommended by our very own foodies, as follows:
-
Chef ILona Daniel recommends checking out Churchill Arms. This wee spot has both fantastic fish and chips as well as some crave-worthy British curries. On Wednesdays, they have a 2-for-1 night for curries. Fran, the owner, is super passionate about the offerings available at this beloved local restaurant - their British style fish and chips is no exception.

Al Douglas recommends Haru-K BBQ in Charlottetown for some of the best Korean fried chicken on the east coast with sides and service that is top notch. Apparently, it can be tough to get a table sometimes, so best to call ahead.
Personally, I would recommend C&B Corner Café in Kensington for their made-in-house bagels and daily specials. I also love the beet, corn and goat cheese handpie from the Handpie Company and dining in the Lounge at Harmony House in Hunter River (limited hours so please call 902-964-2255 or email [email protected] to inquire about a dinner reservation). One more favourite for vegan options is the Farmacy + Fermentary in Charlottetown.
Of course, the PEI mecca for foodies worldwide is Chef Michael Smith's FireWorks Feast at The Inn At Bay Fortune. Reservations are hard to get, but it's worth a call to find out if interested. Blue Mussel Cafe in North Rustico is also a must and the restaurant is open until October 17. The Seafood Chowder Poutine is rich and creamy; best to share to avoid becoming too full for your main.
The PEI Fall Flavours Culinary Festival is also underway with numerous culinary events across the Island. Check it out!
Enjoy your time in Prince Edward Island. I hope you have some amazing culinary experiences.
