Greetings from Prince Edward Island!

Thank you for reaching out on Ask An Islander. If you’re a beach lover, you’re definitely coming to the right place! There are gorgeous beaches throughout King’s County, and the weather is usually still warm in September. Below are some beaches to check out near Montague (and beyond).

·     One of our favourite beaches close to Montague is Panmure Island Provincial Park. It’s a peaceful white sand beach; it’s fully serviced, but not as busy as some of the better-known beaches.  

·     Check out Basin Head Provincial Park, just past Souris. It’s consistently rated at PEI’s best beach by locals and visitors alike.

·     Although we’ve never been to Sally’s Beach Provincial Park, friends rave about it, so it’s on our summer bucket list.

·     Friends also recommend the beach at Panting Shore near Northumberland Provincial Park (they also tell me to be sure to eat at Treena’s Take-Out near the Wood Islands ferry, because the food is delicious!).
