We are staying in Georgetown PEI last week of June. Looking for suggestions on things to do. Beaches, shops, restaurants and adventures. Thanks in advance!
Hi Helen,
I am so delighted to hear that you are coming to visit Prince Edward Island. Georgetown is one of my favourite places on the Island.
It is located within our Points East Coastal Drive, along with other of PEI’s seaside and small towns such as Montague and Souris.
In that area, there are so many beautiful beaches. One of my favourites is Panmure Island.
Eastern PEI also offers Authentic PEI Experiences, Golf, History, Culture and Museums and unique Wineries and Distilleries.
Grab a baked treat or a hearty snack at the Maroon Pig in Georgetown.
Explore Point Prim lighthouse in Belfast. Built in 1845, it’s the oldest lighthouse on PEI, and one of only a few round brick lighthouses in Canada, then wander over to The Point Prim Chowder House and enjoy a bowl of steamy chowder.
Shop for unique handmade jewelry at Shoreline Design in Georgetown. The owner, Peter Llewellyn, will welcome you into his workshop and tell you all about his town.
Go deep-sea fishing, clam digging, or starfish hunting with Tranquility Cove Adventures. Located in Georgetown, this is one of PEI’s leading provider of experiential activities.
Experience life on the Island in the 1890s at Orwell Corner Historic Village.
Explore Roma at Three Rivers.
When it comes to dining there are a number of restaurants in the Points East Coastal Drive region that offer excellent food. A few that come to mind would be: The Georgetown Inn and The Wheelhouse located in Georgetown, Clam Diggers in Cardigan, and 21 Breakwater in Souris.
I hope this is of some help to you and that you enjoy your time on our beautiful island.
Jennifer
