Fun things for small children age 5 to do in Charlottetown and cavendish/ Rustico area

Hello Joy,
Thank you for your question to Ask an Islander.
There are many kid friendly experiences in both Charlottetown and Cavendish areas. Some of the fun things for small children to do ranges from fun 'n' games to swimming and outdoor adventures to one stop attractions.
In Charlottetown, small children will enjoy the splash pad at Victoria Park and the scavenger hunt "Eckhart in the City". Island Hill Farm, a petting farm, located in Hampshire, outside of Charlottetown is always a fascinating experience for small children.
In Cavendish, there are adventures and amusements including Shining Waters (water park), Sandspit ( amusement park) and the iconic Green Gables Heritage House. Also, in nearby New Glasgow, there is a butterfly house in the Gardens of Hope at the PEI Preserve Company to capture children's attention.
To assist you in finding other children activities, please visit the following websites: Tourism PEI, Central Coastal Drive, Welcome Charlottetown and Discover Charlottetown.
Enjoy a fun filled time on Prince Edward Island!

Asked: I will be visiting Souris in early July 2024. I would love to take in a traditional lobster boil ( if that’s the correct wording , with the potatoes and corn and sea food ). Is there a local area known for offering this?
